Little brown girl

There lived a little brown girl

With big black eyes and head full of curls.

A short, plump and a chirpy little one,

Who danced her way to the moon and Sun.

She drew, she wrote, she read to a great extent

It was not just her hobby, but her time well spent

One of the brightest intelligent of her lot,

Will reach for the stars; said the ones, who taught.

Years passed by, came the next phase

That’s when life started to show its true face

The short, plump girl untouched by thoughts around

Believed, that the true love would be found

But the bitter truth came knocking by

That only physical beauty meets the eye.

Neither the character nor your true love matters

Unless you have the look that flatters.

Constant taunt that you don’t fit here or there

Pulled her self-esteem to nowhere

She tried to rebel with all her might

Just to be put down again by the world’s spite

The more she fought, the more invisible she became

Like a background artist in her own life’s frame

She now wonders, if there would be ever a time,

Where the little brown girl with big black eyes inside her; will ever see her in her prime.

An Angel from above..

A message arrived from the above,
That an angel has touched down.

Bringing me, the sunny side of love,

And for the people... all around.

Did you know.. that the twinkle in your eyes,

And the beautiful smile on your face,

Is a divine blessing for me, in disguise;

And which would be difficult to replace.

I love the warmth you bring in me,

With your tight little embrace.

And I always wanted it to be..

The one, that holds me onto my pace.

Not a day go by, praying for you,

Wishing you all that you love.

And I promise, there's nothing I would do..

To miss my Angel from above...

No Regrets

I was happy that I had gained many
Bonds, that I had treasured as mine.
Came to realise that there weren't any
Love, But mere swords that shined.

Braving all the winds and tides,
I sailed my way with high hopes.
Never thought I would have such rides
That would leave me hanging onto ropes.

With confidence, I had walked all those miles,
Thinking I was never on my own.
Turning around I witnessed distant smiles
And realised that, I was there, all alone.

Now, I no longer wish to walk, any distance
With ones that doubt my grief and pain.
Rather, I did lead a life with a difference
With no regrets or none to complain.

I shall rise up

Waking up to the melody of birds,
I see the sun, shining bright.
I stand still, short of words;
But determined to do what is right.

I know there will be hurdles as I go,
And I might fall at times to the ground.
But, that is not going to make me slow,
And I will be up again for another round.

I will learn from the mistakes I make,
As I embrace the life as it comes
And letting my soul be awake
With undying love that hums.

At times, future may seem grim,
But, I will not let my heart down
I will give my best, holding on to the rim
And I shall rise up, adorning my crown.

A Voiceless song

You feel the most, when you lose
And to realise, you just can't go on.
To know there's nothing for you to choose,
And all that you held once dear, are gone.

Sometimes I wonder what I would say,
With the guilt and regrets, still in my head.
Wish I could somehow cast those away,
With all those tears I shed.

I feel, am pushed into an infinite dream,
With all those moments buried along alive,
Deafened by the wounded heart's scream,
I hope to defy the odds to survive.

I had loved this time with a guarded heart,
To overcome anything that may come along.
But still couldn't hold my world falling apart
With all my flaws woven into a voiceless song.

Forever Friends

My words can't really express
My love for you all.
And I know, you all love me no less,
Throughout my rise and my fall.

As we all grew side by side
Never thought how good our bond be.
A bond that is strong and wide
Enough, for the whole world to see.

We are the chosen few,
Who share all the little things we do
And we share a closeness so true,
To break all the hurdles and get through.

Though we all stay miles apart
We always had, lot of things to say
And memories that will never depart
We have made laughing so hard, every day.

Dwelling in the past

You challenge me with your love,
I wish I could win you enough.
But that's not what's said from above,
Day by day it's getting tough.

I see myself in your eyes,
Not pained by the changes around.
From the falls I arise,
As you lift me up from the ground

Gone were the days I laughed
Brushing off; thoughts of the world
How would I ignore the moments passed
Wherein; I laid in your arms curl'd.

Wish I could run to my past
And turn things around,
And make all those memories last,
Dwelling in every light and sound..
